Artist Statement:

"Gutted"

My work seeks comfort in the midst of chronic pain. It yearns to be healed, yet threatens to hemorrhage; the return of internal trauma. The body cavity has been dredged of long hidden toxicities and is exposed raw.To be gutted is excruciating and cathartic. It is an act of hollowing in the hope to be filled again with relief.
